"Fabulous collage canvas" says Linda BarkerPosted By Caroline 27/03/2011 17:47:05 Linda Barker thinks CanvasRus’s Collage Canvas is "fabulous" and with over 17 years expertise in the interior design industry her style and design knowledge is trusted and well respected. Cippenham On Meadows, in Slough, was the location for Thursday’s 60 Minute Makeover and the family member to be surprised was a loving grandmother called Maisie. Both Linda and Catherine, the show’s presenter, thought Maisie’s cosy flat needed some updating and freshening up. CanvasRus supplied a collection of stylish feminine canvas prints for Maisie’s bedroom. Dusk Rose 1 and 2, Choc Buds and Choc Maples really flattered the berry colours Linda had chosen for that room. Then the lounge was highlighted by a 30x30" photographic Collage Canvas print. In the second quarter of each 60 Minute Makeover show there’s a feature called ‘Rummage’ where the interior designer chooses his or her three favourite furniture or accessory pieces for that makeover. Linda Barker chose to select the CanvasRus photos on canvas service – called Collage Canvas. Linda Barker (says whilst removing the photo canvas from it’s box): "oh, and I’ve got this fabulous canvas because she’s [Maisie] such a family orientated woman." Catherine Gee: "oh Linda you’re such a superstar." Linda Barker: "it’s by CanvasRus" Linda Barker (say pointing to the photos): "these are all her grandchildren. These are her two girls and her son." Catherine Gee: "yes because she’s got three children and six grandchildren." Linda Barker: "and all her grandchildren. So I’m sure she’ll be thrilled with this." Catherine Gee: "she will love this." Linda Barker: "she likes her [photo] pictures but they’ve all been very small in her room in tiny little frames. Famous for his hit US TV show Extreme Makeover, Ty Pennington has been in the UK recently filming a new makeover show where he helps to change the home lives of five British service men and women. "These guys are so dedicated to servicing their Country they haven’t had time to dedicate to their homes. That’s where I [Ty Pennington] come in." A truly heart warming show where the family move out for a few days and Ty moves his decorating team in to transform their home. CanvasRus was contacted back in April as Ty had been on their website and decided that two Pop Art Warhol effect canvases where exactly what the daughters twin bedroom needed. CanvasRus’ graphic designer Erin Rafferty created the artwork from original family photos emailed in. The soft canvas print colours where specifically requested to flatter the room’s décor. "The one way to add a little pop to a room is to see a little Pop Art. It really adds some art, colour and canvas fun. Now they [the daughters] can have some fun in their own room." quote by Ty Pennington There are twelve Your Art effects offered by CanvasRus not just the iconic Pop Art effects. This service is all about transforming your own personal photos into retro, iconic, urban or illustrative looking prints on canvas. Erin creates each piece of canvas wall art individually so no two prints onto canvas look the same. To order – it’s as simple as emailing your personal photo direct to Erin. She then emails you a proof of the finished artwork which (if agreed to) is then digitally printed and delivered to you. Prices for the artwork start from as little as £30 for a single person/head shot. And for a 12x12" canvas (£25) + the artwork cost (£30) the total can be as little as £55 for a truly bespoke print to canvas. And as all this graphic design work is done by hand rather than automated through a piece of computer software – this would make an amazing keepsake. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen splashes canvas print colour outdoorsPosted By Caroline 09/11/2010 13:36:31 CanvasRus’s waterproof prints onto canvas have been acclaimed by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen as his "hero piece". Interior designer to the stars Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has designed ITV’s This Morning’s whole patio around one of CanvasRus’s prints on canvas – Peacock. CanvasRus is very proud that they were approached for prints to canvas by the This Morning team on behalf of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. He visited each of the eight online galleries and chose three separate images – Crystal, from the Contemporary Gallery, Peacock, from the Wild Gallery and Leaf from the Floral Gallery. Five canvas prints were made up for him in total. (two Crystal, two Leaf and one Peacock). All of these were made up as large scale 36x36" canvas pictures which looked stunning both close up and from a distance. The reason for Laurence’s patio design scheme was to help inspire people to make their outdoor spaces more exciting. "It’s not just about planting – but it can be made more fun with decorating." In this increasingly dismal and blustery weather does your garden look a little sad and forgotten about? The leaves have dropped and with this recent rain most gardens look sodden and a little tired. CanvasRus has the answer with their Waterproof Canvas Prints. Great for hanging over unsightly external walls, fence panels or just to brighten up a dark corner. Bring colour and life back to your garden this autumn/winter with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s highly recommended waterproof prints to canvas. You could choose a beautiful floral canvas picture or even an atmospheric seaside landscape. There really is an image for everyone with CanvasRus. Kathryn Rayward - canvas prints to turn your headPosted By Caroline 05/11/2010 16:27:12 Kathryn Rayward, the famously flamboyant interior designer, has ordered over 130 prints on canvas by CanvasRus for her many TV design projects. As one of the more vibrant TV interior designers, with her canvas wall art choices, she’s never afraid of being bold with style, colour or theme. Kathryn has worked with the 60 Minute Makeover team for over 5 series now. For numerous episodes of the show she’s asked to use CanvasRus’s canvas photos service. These canvas prints are usually of the family who the home makeover’s for but she does also supply her own photography ideas. She happily embraces hanging large scale photos onto canvas – whether a single photo on one canvas or a single image separated over a Multiple Tiled Canvas. Kathryn’s confidence in pulling together a room’s design scheme is always refreshing to watch. Her choice of canvas pictures are usually chosen as focal points and have ranged from the retro looking 3 canvases of Flying Ducks, in the Wild Gallery, through to the ever popular White Orchids in the Floral Gallery. One noticeable working trait Kathryn has is that, in all these years, she’s never ordered the same canvas picture more than twice. This is highly unusual as most designers have particular canvas print favourites that they’re comfortable to fall back on. Kathryn really does tailor each room’s design to the owner of the home. If you’d like more information on Kathryn’s latest projects click here to follow her on Twitter Page. Julia Kendall uses photos on canvas for her TV design schemesPosted By Caroline 08/10/2010 17:47:21 Julia Kendall, well known for her stunning interior design projects in DIY SOS and 60 Minute Makeover, has employed the help of CanvasRus to make up stunning photos onto canvas. Personal photos always make an impact on a room. Have you ever thought about transforming your favourite holiday snaps or family celebration pics into a canvas print? Whether your room is minimally decorated or you’re a lover of the eclectic style – the addition of a digitally printed photo on canvas creates a great talking and focal point. Julia Kendall has requested thirty five photos to canvas over the last 5 years for different TV projects. These prints have ranged from professional images, client family photos as well as photographs chosen from CanvasRus’ Floral Gallery and Wild Gallery. Specific gallery images that she’s chosen are – Evening Walk, White Pebbles, Orange Gerbera and Sunburst Bloom all photographically atmospheric. The CanvasRus Pop Art styled canvas pictures have been a firm favourite for many interior designers over the years. Julia decided that for one particular 60 Minute Makeover episode (in Bampton) that she wanted a Warhol effect Multiple Tiled Canvas. One reason CanvasRus Your Art styles are so popular is because each piece of artwork created is done by hand. Many competitors will put your photograph through a piece of software which will automate and loose any subtleties. CanvasRus has the skills of their graphic designer Erin who creates each request herself and even colour matches to paint samples if needed. Julia’s Warhol effect canvas photo was designed in pastel colours and worked beautifully as part of the room’s design scheme. If you’d like to know more of Julia’s thoughts on interior design and behind the scenes on DIY SOS click here to read her Blog. Danielle has been seen on our TV screens in ITV1’s House Gift (with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Gillian Anderson Price and Tom Keane) and most recently as presenter of A Room To Be Proud Of, a pre-recorded feature, on This Morning. We were approached for canvas pictures, in mid June, by one of the This Morning team as Danielle had seen a couple of images she liked in CanvasRus’ Wild Gallery. The Room To be Proud Of feature was for a deserving couple based in Bristol - the husband suffered with MS. The bright and cheerful lounge design scheme was typical of Danielle’s style – modern chic with a touch of bohemian. The two gallery images she chose were Peacock and Zebra. With lovely expanses of wall space to work with Danielle had decided she wanted two of each canvas print (all four at 20x20"). For a photo of the Peacock prints on canvas in situ click here to see our TV pages.
